If you are new to Northwest Church—whether you’re a part of Orlando, Winter Garden, or online from across the globe—we want you to know that you are why we are here. God is doing something incredible in our church. We are seeing families restored, students encountering Jesus, and marriages strengthened. But God never intended for us to just soak in His blessings; He calls us to overflow.
WHAT IS OVERFLOW?
OVERFLOW is a bold, two-year faith and generosity initiative to build our new Apopka Central Hub, grow our Winter Garden Campus, resource our online community, and launch us into our true calling: planting a new, life-giving church every two years.

For Families: Investing in OVERFLOW supports building our “launchpad” that will host powerful youth gatherings your teenagers will attend and will be the training ground for disciples and leaders who will serve your family every week.

For Winter Garden: When you invest in OVERFLOW, you are pouring gasoline on our first church plant to significantly grow and reach the Winter Garden area.

For Our Online Community: You are investing in the digital tools and broadcasts that graft more people into the Northwest Church family, no matter where they live.

To complete the project and fully resource our current ministries for the next 2 years, we are believing God for two giving targets:
FAITH GOAL:
$6.5 Million
Fully resources all our ministries for the next two years and builds the Apopka Hub through utilizing our current assets, the responsible loan, and selling our Orlando property.
MIRACLE GOAL:
$11 Million
Our ultimate, God-sized dream! This allows us to fully resource our ministries, keep our Orlando campus, grow our Winter Garden plant, and fund the building of the Apopka Hub completely debt-free.

To fuel this bold vision, we use a One Fund approach. Instead of asking you to divide your giving by campus or by fund, every dollar given over the next 24 months, no matter which community you're a part of, goes into a single, unified bucket. This simple, single fund seamlessly resources our ongoing, everyday ministries at your local campus while simultaneously fueling the construction of our new Apopka hub, growing our Winter Garden Campus, resourcing our growing online community, and providing the foundation to support future church plants.

FAQs
In 2023, we paused our initial building plans due to the volatile economic climate of the pandemic. Our leadership and advisors felt it was the most prudent and responsible way to steward the church's finances. Now, the market has stabilized, but more importantly, God used that waiting period to expand our vision! We aren't just building a building anymore; we are building a Central Hub to launch a church-planting movement.
While we love our Orlando campus, it is an aging facility that would require massive financial investments to update. Building a new, state-of-the-art Central Hub in Apopka is a far better use of our resources. More importantly, it provides a greater tool for our rapidly expanding youth and children's ministries. We are a "Church for Generations," and we want to pass on a healthy, vibrant church with the best possible tools to the next generation.
Our two fundamental goals are to make disciples and plant churches! A larger Central Hub in Apopka will actually act as the "engine" to resource all our future church plants. To fund our $6.5 Million Faith Goal, we plan to strategically leverage the sale of the Orlando property. However, we have an $11 Million Miracle Goal! If God provides this through our collective generosity, it would allow us to keep the Orlando campus, fully build the Apopka hub debt-free, and aggressively fund new church plants.
It has been wisely and safely invested, and God has blessed it! The $1.8M previously given in cash is now valued at $2.25M.
Additionally, the Apopka land we purchased for less than $1M is now worth an estimated $3.5M. Your past generosity has provided an incredibly strong foundation for OVERFLOW.Our goal is to break ground by the end of 2026. We previously had civil engineering drawings completed, and we are currently updating them to ensure they meet the latest codes. Once we break ground, our goal is to complete the Apopka hub within 24 months. But during this time, we aren't just waiting—we are aggressively growing our Winter Garden campus, doubling down on making disciples, and expanding our online reach!
If the last few years taught us anything, it's that we can't predict everything—but nothing is a surprise to God. We have consistently endeavored to be obedient to His calling, no matter the season. We believe that as we step out in faith and obedience, God will give us His favor, overcome any obstacles, and do something miraculous through our collective faithfulness.

OVERFLOW is also about growing in prayer, serving, and inviting others, so there is a place for everyone to jump in.
We believe that students aren’t just the future of the church—you are the church right now! Stepping into this initiative is a powerful opportunity to start building a lifelong habit of trusting God with your resources. Whether you have a part-time job, do chores for an allowance, or have some savings, ask God what a bold step of faith looks like for you. Remember, this journey is about equal sacrifice, not equal gifts. A smaller amount given consistently over two years is an incredible step of faith that God honors!
If you are currently working to pay off debt, we want to champion your journey toward financial freedom! First and foremost, please do not go into further debt or use a credit card to fund your commitment. We ask you to give from what God has placed in your hands, not what you don't have. However, the Bible teaches us that giving our "first fruits" is a step of faith that invites God's blessing and order into our finances. We encourage you to pray about a commitment that stretches your faith while still allowing you to responsibly honor your debts.
We completely understand that two years is a long time, and life can be unpredictable. Please know that an OVERFLOW commitment card is not a legally binding contract; it is simply a statement of faith and a personal goal you are setting between you and God. We encourage you to make a commitment based on what you are trusting God to provide in this season. If your financial situation changes down the road, you can always adjust your commitment. God honors your heart and your desire to be generous!
We hope our culture of generosity never stops! As long as there are people who need Jesus, we will continue to pray for open doors to plant new churches and reach new communities. OVERFLOW is our specific two-year journey to build this Central Hub and launch us into our next season, but we pray that living a life of open-handed generosity becomes a permanent part of our church’s DNA.
